  • In order to use yourself as the instrument in coaching, what do you know about yourself?”
  • “Which part of your coaching is about you? And what part is about your client?"
  • “How can you stop working harder than your clients?"

The German word Gestalt means “a complete pattern or configuration.” Your clients, whether they are an individual, a group or an entire organization, have an innate desire to become whole and integrated. The magic of Gestalt coaching is born out of the development of the whole-system. It is built on the coach’s ability to use his or her full self, and to address the dilemma between the client’s desire and resistance to change. The job of a coach is to help clients become fully who they are by raising awareness, staying in the present moment, engaging in experiences, gaining access to a full range of choices, and reaching for growth.

The intent of this mini workshop is to teach Gestalt coaching by your participating in a Gestalt, or a picture. By going through the experience, you will learn the power of Gestalt in coaching. At the end of the workshop, you will:

  • Increase your awareness of yourself and your environment
  • By being aware, notice how work emerges organically
  • By being present, notice how choices of intervention become available
  • Experience that work happens at multiple levels of the system
