ROI for Executive Coaching
Individuals who have participated in coaching services have long reported strong satisfaction with the coaching process. In a recently released study from Right Management Consultants, entitled "ROI for Executive Coaching," 86 percent of the 100 participants were very or extremely satisfied with the coaching experience. But the question often asked is, "Can coaching provide real benefits for the organization overall?" The answer, based on this study, is clearly "Yes!" In fact, using a conservative calculation method, the return on investment for coaching was 5.7 times the original investment.
Leaders who worked with an experienced coach for 6 to 12 months reported tangible business benefits that included increases in productivity, quality, organizational strength, and customer service.
Even more important to coaching participants were the intangible benefits they received. More than three-quarters of those surveyed said they were now enjoying improved relationships with the people who report to them. Other important intangible benefits included improved teamwork, improved job satisfaction, and reduced conflict.
